What does PE Look like at Chaselea?
At Chaselea we strive to develop student in Physical Education, Health and their well-being. Each lesson is carefully tailored to help students maximise their potential through engagement and inspiring activities. The department offer traditional sports such as Football, Badminton, Table Tennis, Dodgeball, Basketball; but to ensure students are inspired alternative activities are offered, such as mountain biking, gym visits and outdoor educational trips rock climbing and fencing.
To cater for extra curricular the astro-pitch and sports hall are open during break time, lunch and after school for Football or Basketball. The school have also begun to play in a small friendly football league to enrich students cohesion in to the local community via sport.
To help maintain focus Y10 and Y11 students work towards their GCSE PE qualification which compromises of 60% practical coursework and a 40% weighted exam.
We aim to help develop students to engage, inspire and perform giving them every opportunity to succeed.
Each summer we have a day of well being and leisure with a variety of sports, walks and mountain biking combined with a BBQ.
